New State-of-the-art distribution centre

In August 2009 VDB has inaugurated her new state of the art Distribution Centre (DC). The new DC has given VDB the opportunity to increase enormously the number of references in the warehouse supporting even more the multi-brand strategy. The new warehouse consists of 24.000 square metres with 3 layers of storage capacity. VDB has also kept her container terminal making it possible to increase rapidly the stock capacity.

Backbone of the DC is a very sophisticated Warehouse Management System which justifies the name Logistic Tyre Centre. With this system the warehouse managers control the unloading, order picking and loading process. 'With this new Distribution Centre as VDB Group we can make the next step forward in professionalisation and increase the speed and accuracy of our deliveries', says Managing Director Frans van Lenten.

New office

After completion of the new Distribution Centre in the mean time we have also started to build our new head office which will arise next to the new DC. The construction of this new head office will be ready in the second part of 2010. Inauguration of the new office means that all departments and facilities of the VDB Group will be on the same location in the new industrial area in Hellevoetsluis. This will be the finalisation of our large construction project that has lasted for several years!
